we are little dogs with big personalities!
Our Story
Camilla got her first sheltie, Lassie, when she was 7 years old and it was love at first sight. She’s had the privilege of being owned by five shelties so far across 29 years – with hopefully many more to come! Camilla has done obedience and scent work as well as The Kennel Club Good Citizen Award and competed in agility with her shelties.
Camilla is passionate about raising awareness of this beautiful yet lesser known breed. She started I Love Shelties to raise awareness and increase breed representation while also raising money for good causes. Camilla also used her dogs as inspiration for the name of her publishing company Tecassia, using letters from the names of her dogs to create something totally unique yet meaningful.
Shelties By The Sea began in 2015 as a way of sharing updates with family and friends. It has since grown into an engaged community of over 1.6k followers across social platforms. Our current pack consists of three cousins, Teddy, Mia and Talia.
In the future, we hope to breed our own Shelties – watch this space!

Teddy
AKA: Ted, Teddles, Teddy Bear, Bear, Yogi
Age: 7
Favourite Trick: Sit Pretty
Favourite Food: Squirty Cream
Teddy is our lovable rogue, always getting himself into a bit of trouble! Almost called Loki but his pawrents worried about jinxing it - seems that we were too late and he already embodied the spirit of the God of Mischief. Teddy loves paddling in his pool in the summer, sleepovers at Netty Nan's house and doing scent work. Super smart, Teddy is Mia's 'seeing eye dog', helping guide her on walks and always looking out for her. He's handsome and he knows it and is a bit of a ladies man!

AKA: Mimi, Mimi Bear, Princess
Age: 11
Favourite Trick: Wave
Favourite Food: Chicken Nuggets
She might be nearly totally blind and a little arthritic now but Mia is still a diva and our best girl. Before going blind she won lots of rosettes and a trophy for agility but now she dreams of lazy days as a little princess being fed her favourite 'chicky nugs' from the sofa. Unfortunately Mummy says she can't eat too many and needs to keep active. Keep on dreaming, Mia!
Talia
AKA: Tally, Tallway, Scallywag, Tal
Age: 6
Favourite Trick: Paw (or blinking in every photo!)
Favourite Food: Sprats
Our special girl has recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer but she isn't letting that stop her. She's still full of energy and loves playing with her bestie, Ted. She has a history of being a bit naughty, eating nearly 20 stones as a puppy. Now she loves nothing more than running on the beach, chasing seagulls and barking at cars.
